Queen's parkrun Celebrates 500th Race...

This Saturday 6 May Queen's parkrun will celebrate its 500th race.

Some Facts about Queen’s parkrun:

  • First Queen’s parkrun event was held on 25 February 2012.
  • Queen's parkrun is one of 1,829 5k parkruns currently being held across the globe.
  • Queen's parkrun is one of 36 held in Northern Ireland and is the third oldest (after Waterworks & Victoria).
  • The event takes place every Saturday at 9:30am in Queen's University Sport at Upper Malone, South Belfast (the 'Dub').
  • Since the event started 4031 people have registered Queen’s parkrun as their home run.
  • Since the event started there have been 55,763 individual runs completed by 8736 different park runners.
  • Since the event started there have been 6,789 volunteer roles filled by 764 different volunteers .
  • There is an average 109 participants each week (biggest ever attendance was 339 on June 2018)
