Queen’s GAA Seals New Sponsorship Deal With EJC Contracts

Queens GAA has announced a major new sponsor for the 2022 – 2023 season...

Multi-award winners, EJC Contracts, will be the main sponsor of the Queen’s Gaelic Football, Ladies Gaelic Football, Hurling, Camogie and Handball teams. EJC, the Newtownabbey based business has grown over the years to become one of the most successful and respected utilities and civil engineering companies across Ireland.

Welcoming the news, Gavan Duffy Queen’s GAA Development Manager said: “We are delighted to have such a highly respected partner supporting all five GAA codes at Queen’s. With a membership of over six hundred young people, we are one of the largest and most vibrant Clubs in Ulster, with aspirations of success at both provincial and All Ireland level. Fielding thirteen teams in all levels of competition across Ireland is an increasing challenge, which is why EJC’s involvement is so important.”

Speaking about the benefits of the partnership EJC Managing Director, Edward Connolly said: “Our company seeks to maintain a competitive edge through investing in the latest technologies and innovations. We have a diverse workforce that excels in all areas of our business, and we are keen to attract the best talent to our team. Students who excel in their sporting and academic pursuits are of particular interest to EJC Contracts.”

Recent EJC Contracts recruit, and Antrim Junior All Ireland Ladies Football winner, Grainne McLaughlin, certainly fits that specification. The Glenavy Club woman, and 2021 Queen’s Ladies Gaelic Football Chairwoman, graduated recently with a Masters in Civil Engineering. Endorsing the new partnership, Grainne stated that: "EJC is a forward-looking company that continues to succeed in a competitive environment. My time at Queen’s and with Queen’s GAA has given me the skills to thrive here. This is an excellent partnership which is good for the Club, for students and for EJC Contracts. I wish both parties well for the coming season.”

We look forward to a successful season for all our teams and a productive partnership with EJC Contracts
