Queen's GAA Appoint New Sigerson Management Team

Queen’s University GAA are delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel McCartan and Feargal Logan as the new joint-managers of the senior football team.

The new appointments are both former Sigerson Cup winners with Queen’s. Feargal led the 1990 team to victory and Daniel was the most recent victorious captain in 2007.

Daniel McCartan has enjoyed a distinguished playing career for Burren and Down, winning three county titles and he featured for his county in the 2010 All-Ireland Final. He played at full back in four consecutive Sigerson Cup finals and led Queens to Ryan Cup success in 2006-07.

Feargal Logan is a former Stewartstown and Tyrone midfielder who played in the 1995 All-Ireland Final. He and Brian Dooher managed the Red Hand County to win the Sam Maguire in 2021.

The coaching team will include another two former Queen’s Sigerson Cup players - Donal O’Hare (Burren) and Jack Dowling (St Brigids).

The senior team begin their season with an encounter against old rivals UU at the Dub on Wednesday, 15 October.
