
Now in its 7th year, the Rugby Academy was developed in association with the Ulster Branch, Irish Rugby Football Union. The team has now established themselves at the one of the top sides in the All Ireland League Division 3. Last year, the team finished 3rd with numerous players selected at provincial and national level, the highlight being club captain Ian Whitten achieving his first International Irish Cap.
The team has also continued to defeat Ulster and All Ireland League Division 1 sides and as a result it this year was recognised as the most successful Queen's Rugby team since 1982. Rugby continue to provide excellent coaching to all players and have a reputation for producing some of the greatest players Ireland have ever seen. The scholarships are named after Ireland legend and former British Lion Jack Kyle.
